America's Food Banks Are Facing A Shortage - Please Donate And Volunteer!
Over the holiday season, food banks across across the United States reported shortages of food donations for hungry families. As the winter months continue, let us fight with the kind and generous souls who serve our food banks and the hungry everywhere to end our food crisis!
You can do more than just give food and money. A helping hand with the effort needed to operate and manage a food bank is often welcome and greatly appreicated!
Change is needed right now! Please contribute to your local food bank.
This is an ongoing pledge that should be fulfilled as often as possible.

The congress needs to get more money and there is no way a child or person should have to strave away their lives

Living in such an affluent country, it is appalling that we allow so many to go hungry and take such little action to address the situation. When will we say that "enough is enough" and ensure that all people have access to food and basic nutritional needs?

I have learned quite a few different ways you can help some one, some neighborhood or some families just by donating something each week-even clothes since some children do not have appropriate clothing for school. My sister Ginger was my role model on "one-on-one" donations. We would prepare a huge pot of stew or whatever was available, I would crotche hats, scarves and blankets. Ginger would put the stew in a mason jar, some fruit and even a small travel kit with toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other nik-nacks. We would combine all of these into a blanket and travel down to the highway ramps where most homeless or down on their luck people would be and I remember one man in particular. Ginger gave him the stew and I gave my usual blanket, hat and scarf and to see his face light up so much was a great feeling. since then I have helped in my local clothing closet and my church's drives. I wouldnt have realized how much so little could help with if it wasn't for my sister, Ginger.

I feel it is important to make this pledge because 1 in 8 americans are struggling with hunger, me included, and americans should not have to struggle to eat. Please volunteer or donate to your local foodbank and spread the world to end hunger.

So many people out there have lost their jobs!! We need to help others who are struggling to make ends meet. Please,Please donate food to the food banks so these families will not starve this winter!!
Stephanie Enochs Ona, WV @ 09:53PM PT Sep 13
Eating should not be an issue to deal with on a daily basis. So many children and adults have to base their entire day around providing food for themselves and others.

My friend lost his job and has no money for food. Just that alone is enough to want to save ppl. What goes around comes around.

We are all human, and no matter our past or our situation, we all deserve food, shelter, and love.
