End Homelessness

Introduce a child to an "Invisible" friend.

Do you believe children are born free of prejudice? With an innocence so pure it defies description? With an innate need to love and be loved? Do you believe that what they see, hear, are taught, are surrounded by is responsible for creating at least part of their personality?
If so, why not take advantage of this window of opportunity to introduce them to compassion, caring and sharing and at the same time watch their self-esteem bloom as they discover the joy of giving.
Children love to make new friends, in the neighbourhood, the playground, in school, sometimes even in their imagination. Why not introduce them to an "invisible" friend? A friend in need. Explain the difficulties their new friend is facing. The short video on this page is a perfect introduction highlighting just one example of the millions of children around the world who need our help. Sit down and share it with them.
Now you are ready to set them off on a fundraising venture of their own. Involve them as much as possible, show them on a map where their friend lives. Let them choose a name maybe even an age. If your child is young make up a chart and reward them with stars and stickers as rewards for their progress. Try to get them to make their own suggestions on how they can reach their goal or offer a few ideas such as sharing pocket money, "downsizing" treats or birthday gifts etc etc.

Lets get children involved before it is too late. I honestly believe even 5 & 6 year olds are capable of demonstrating care and compassion. If they are to become the future, let them play a part in creating it.

  1. This is an ongoing pledge that should be fulfilled as often as possible.

You dont need to have big money to give - a big heart is good enough and once you embark on the journey, different routes to get to the destination will automatically fall through!

What does it take for the friend to become adapted to the child than the love he/she has to offer. Lets seek for measure to accept ourselves with the love of God as our leader towards decisions.
