Lady Gaga Urges You to Support Youth Homelessness
Published December 17, 2009 @ 08:11PM PT
Lady Gaga has teamed up with Virgin Mobile to combat youth homelessness. For the past several years, Virgin Mobile has been a champion for this issue, creating several innovative promotions to encourage young people to help the homeless. This past summer, they distributed free concert tickets to those who joined the effort by volunteering in homeless shelters.
This year, they are taking this combination of pop music and charity a step further. New York fans who donate a "Service Kit" comprised of hygiene items will score a free ticket to Lady Gaga's North American tour, "The Monster Ball Starring Lady Gaga."
"I'm thrilled to partner with Virgin Mobile on my tour," said Lady Gaga in a statement. "They are a great brand and company and I'm really happy to see them encouraging my fans to help out homeless youth and the agencies that provide at-risk youth with critical support."

Oh God get lost Lady GaGa. I'm sure your label told you it would earn you more respect to become an advocate, even your little speech appears rehearsed. And who benefits? You do. A free concert to see you?
Did you ever advocate for a cause besides making a spectacle of yourself?
No thanks. Helping the teens is very important but many have the desire to help without bringing you into it. A group of celebrities would be better rather than focusing on one who benefits.

I think it's great that Lady Gaga is using her new fame platform to get more secular and non secular teens to help the homeless and the homeless homos especially. I know exactly what she is talking about i nearly became one of the homeless homo statistics.
